Earlier this year, I contributed to the farewell symposium of prof. Hans Westerhoff, a giant in the systems biology field. I did not speak about my research but shared my view on the role of scientific research in society and politics. The whole symposium was taped and posted online. My talk starts around 2 hour and 30 minutes. It was an impressive line up with speakers like Nick Lane (starting at 1:26) and John van der Oost (2:55) and my own supervisor Remco Kort (2:20).
